Community Learning
The SACE Board recognises learning that happens in a range of community settings. Students are able to gain recognition in the following areas:
Community Development
Independent Living
Performance
Recreation Skills and Management
Self-development
Sports Skills and Management
Volunteering
Work Skills and Career Development
Example: Independent Living
This area of community learning is a result of activities or programs in which students learn about community resources, for example, in federal, state, local government, and non-government agencies, and how to access them to support independent living.
Speak to your teacher if you would like to apply for Community Learning recognition. Your teacher will help you to fill in an application form. You will then need to collect evidence and attend an interview. Your teacher will assist you.
