Learning Together and SACE
The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is offered at Learning Together Enfield in conjunction with Valley View Secondary School. It is
known as CaFESACE @ Learning Together and is an integral part of Learning Together’s suite of programs.
CaFE SACE @ Learning Together works to achieve a number of outcomes:
• For parents and carers to increase their knowledge and understanding of their child’s learning and development, their parenting role and their connection to community.
• For parents and carers to reconnect with learning as a personal goal and as a pathway to employment or further study.
• For parents and carers to develop a better understanding of learning in order to support their child’s engagement with learning.
• For parents and carers to develop their reflective capacity.
CaFE SACE @ Learning Together has grown out of the opportunity to formalise the learning offered to families in the Learning Together program. The playspace for Learning Together is the ‘classroom’ with learning about children being co-constructed with parents, children and educators during playgroup. This learning is built on in more formal study times when the children attend the on-site creche in CaFE Enfield. Students have access to computers, printers, cameras and the internet.
